Polish and Swedish students – who spend more?

We know that life of a student is not a piece of cake, but how it looks in Sweden and in Poland? Is there a lot of differences between a life of an average student? Yes, there is, and one of the biggest are finances.

The average Polish student spends around PLN 1,600 (EUR 375, USD 450) a month, according to a report by the Polish Bank Association. This is very small amount of money in comparison to the other students in European countries.

In Sweden, students spend the equivalent of PLN 5,500 a month, which is one of the highest amount. Nearly 40% Polish students live with their parents. But for those who rent rooms, are in worse situation – accommodation costs account for almost 40 percent of their budget.
