Poles overdue debt exceed 40 Billion Zlotys

The aggregated value of Poles? overdue debt amounted to PLN 40.89 billion in the second quarter of 2014, according to BIG InfoMonitor data quoted by the Polish Press Agency. The figure grew by PLN 43 million, or 1 percent, over the three months.

The average overdue payments of a single high-risk customer is over 17 000 zlotys, while the percentage of population having problems with paying their bills on time equals 6 per cent. The average overdue fell by 278 zlotys since beginning of 2013.

Almost 64% of all debts are below 5000 zlotys. Women constitute 42% of all high-risk debtors.

The highest, single recorded amount of unpaid debt is 108 million zlotys. “Top ten” persons together contribute an amount of 393 million zlotys of overdue debt.
