CPI inflation will remain visibly below the 2.5 percent target until 2016, according to the latest economic projection issued by the National Bank of Poland. It will be affected by low demand and cost pressure.
Food prices will continue to decline until the end of the first quarter of 2015, the report said. The growth of food and fuel prices will be limited by stable prices of commodities.
Core inflation is expected to remain at an average level of 1.2 percent year-on-year in 2015-2016. The NBP sees inflation is seen at 0.1 percent in 2014, 1.1 percent in 2015 and 1.6 percent in 2016.
The projection also sees Poland?s GDP growing by 3.2 percent this year, then 3.0 percent in 2015 and 3.3 percent in 2016.
