Today, on November 23, Poland’s President Andrzej Duda signed a so-called Innovation Law, changing some laws concerning conduct of innovation activities’ conditions.
After signing the document, the President emphasized that the law is meant to, first and foremost, improve the innovation level and, in consequence, improve the condition and functioning of the Polish economics and science.
“From our part, this is a support for the entrepreneurs, and, above all, young, brave people who want to develop their passion. This is a support for young scientists who work on modern innovating solutions of various sorts, but mainly, the technical ones”, said the President. Andrzej Duda also said that he, as well as the government support something that he himself calls “economical diplomacy”.
During the ceremony in the Presidential Palace, there ware also present the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Education Jarosław Gowin as well as the research teams whose projects are going to be co-funded by the National Reseach and Development Centre (NCBR), including OncoArendi Therapeutics, the President’s Economic Prize winner in Research and Development category.
On November, 30 the President will be present at a seminar in Stockholm “Innovation: a key to future growth. Polish and Swedish experiences.”
