Polish employment on the rise

The rate of employment in Poland grew by 0.4 percent q/q in the second quarter of 2016, ahead of the EU average.

Between April and June, employment in the 28 countries of the European Union increased by 0.3 percent over the previous quarter, the European statistical office, Eurostat, said on Tuesday.

In Poland the figure was significantly better than the 0.4 percent q/q decline in Q1 2016.

In Q2, the countries which saw the worst growth in employment were Croatia (-0.4 percent), Finland (0 percent), as well as Belgium, France, Latvia and Austria (all at 0.2 percent)
