The government is setting up a new agency to help Polish companies win markets abroad, the Puls Biznesu daily has reported.
The Trade and Investment Agency will be based on the existing Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) but will have a much bigger budget and broader powers.
The company will be supported by money from state coffers, but only at the beginning. In time it will have to secure funding for itself, for example from EU funds, according to Puls Biznesu.
Details of the new agency are expected to be announced at the Krynica Economic Forum, a major annual conference in southern Poland, which kicks off on Tuesday.
