In May, Polish enterprises gained access to a new form of preferential financing from the European Union under its Framework Programmes for 2014-2020. The funds are available through leasing company Raiffeisen-Leasing Polska.
A total of zl.670 million is up for grabs in preferential lease agreements and loans offered by Raiffeisen-Leasing Polska, which has become a national financial intermediary for the EU’s Horizon 2020 and COSME innovation and business competitiveness programs.
Worth over 100 billion euros, EU Framework Programmes are an additional source of funding for the 28-nation bloc’s economies. The programs are available on equal terms to businesses, enterprises, research institutes and other institutions in all EU member states as well as to selected candidate and affiliated countries. The programs involve financial instruments that provide refundable financing to enterprises on more attractive terms than regular market rules. Such preferential funding is distributed by national financial intermediaries, or financial institutions that have passed special application procedures in individual EU member states and been approved by EU institutions, in particular the European Investment Fund (EIF).
