Polish consumer and corporate sentiment increased in April to render a sentiment reading of 101.4 points, the highest level since February 2011, up from 99.8 pts in March, according to a survey run by the European Commission.
Consumer sentiment has peaked to the highest level since August 2008, the level preceding global financial crisis.
Sentiment improvement is not surprising as the situation on the labor market has reached its best level in years, employment and wages are growing and Poles additionally have the prospect of receiving additional money from the family program 500+, BZ WBK economist Piotr Bielski said.
