Deputy PM: Swiss company to invest in Poland

The World Economic Forum in Davos has already netted Poland new investments, with Swiss ABB Poland planning to employ 2,000 people in the country, said deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Morawiecki, who attended the Forum in the Swiss town, said that electrical equipment manufacturer ABB has indicated it wants to create an advanced Shared Service Centre in Kraków, which will eventually employ 2,000 people.

Morawiecki, who also serves as Development and Finance Minister added: “This is the effect of earlier talks, but we sealed it here in Davos.”

“The centre will employ highly-qualified specialists, which makes me very happy,” he said, adding that the centre should open in the second half of March.
