Poland plans to introduce PLN 12 min. hourly pay as of Jan. 2017

The Polish government will introduce the PLN 12 minimal gross hourly pay on civil law contracts as of January 1, 2017, according to the bill published by the government’s legislation center RCL.

As of 2018, the minimal hourly wage would be annually indexed by a value resulting from dividing the minimal monthly wage as set for the following year by the amount of this wage in a given year.

The cabinet representatives last spoke of introducing the hike as of September this year.

The introduction of the minimal hourly wage on civil law – so-called junk – labor contract was one of the flagship pledges of the incumbent government of Law and Justice (PiS) during the election campaign.
