Poland’s non-housing construction market to grow by 2017- PMR

Poland’s non-residential construction market will grow by some 3-4% in the years 2016-2017 and stagnate as of 2018, PMR researcher said in a report.

“Considering good data on housing permits, we forecast a ca. 3-4% growth of the non-housing [construction] market in 2016-17,” the report reads. “However, as of 2018 a stagnation is expected in the construction sector.

Investments in industrial and warehousing buildings will amount to some PLN 11.9 billion in the years 2016-2021 (a 32% increase compared to the 2010-2015 period), investments in shopping malls will stand at PLN 6.1 billion (down 3%), PMR estimates. Spending on public utility buildings will reach PLN 5.3 billion (down 17%), while investments in offices are expected to reach PLN 4.4 billion in the period (up by 29%).
In 2015, the value of the construction market grew by 4.5% reaching some PLN 182 billion, the firm said.
