According to Central Statistical Office of Poland in the time during I-X 2015, export of machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical and electrotechnical equipment comprised – 24.66% of all export and contributed to it as the biggest export industry. Other in percentage big groups of products exported from Poland:

– Base metals and articles thereof – 10.19%

– Plastics and rubber and articles thereof – 7.02%

– Products of the chemical industry – 6.63%

– Prepared foodstuffs 6.18%
Animal products comprised 3.99%, vegetable products 2,66% of all the export. Moreover, the value of Polish confectionery exports increased by more than 10% in 2015 to a record level of nearly PLN 6.7 billion.
Polish sweets exports are mainly driven by growing chocolate sales, a representative of confectionary producers association Polbisco, Marek Przezdzierak said.
Polish sweets producers were forced to increase export due to a difficult situation on the domestic market, where we have seen a decline in sales of sweets for three years – explains the director of sales and marketing Lotte Wedel, Maciej Herman. This is due to changes in eating habits of Poles and higher commodity prices, especially cocoa.
