Poland’s economy at the end of 2015

In accordance with the preliminary data of Central Statistical Office of Poland, gross domestic product in the third quarter grew by 3.7% in comparison with previous year and by 0.9% since quarter 2.

A positive effect on the growth of GDP in Q3 had a domestic demand (3.1%) with a small contribution of foreign demand (0.4%). The total growth of consumption amounted to 2.3%.

Regarding The National Bank of Poland’s data, interest rate stays at the same level since March of 2015, which is 1,5%.

Exports in September 2015 grew in comparison with the first three quarters of 2014 by 6.8% and imports grew by 3.6%. Overall trade turnover amounted to 8 905 mln PLN (2 131 mln EUR).

Considering the geographical structures of trade turnover compared to the first three quarters of last year, grew the share of developed countries (including the EU) and developing countries, with the decline of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

The exports to Sweden during the time between I-IX 2015 amounted to 14 914 ml PLN and represented 2,7% of total. The highest exports from Poland went to Germany and turned out to be 27,1% of total. Imports from Sweden amounted to10 006 mln PLN and comprised 1,9% of total imports to Poland.

In accordance with Statistical Sweden’s data about the foreign trade, during the time between I-IX 2015 total amount of products exported to Poland comprised  3,1% of Swedish exports. Import from Poland amounted to 3,4% of total Swedish imports.
