The 24th of Poland’s annual economic forum, sometimes called the Polish Davos, inaugurated in southern Polish city of Krynica on Tuesday, September, the 2nd.
The Forum in Krynica Zdrój is a meeting of leaders from the world of business and politics. Participants include presidents, prime ministers, ministers, EU commissioners, parliamentarians and CEOs of some of the largest companies. This year?s edition is themed, The Post-Crisis World: Time for New Leaders.
The 3-day event, which is one of the most important in the region, includes 6 plenary sessions, over 100 panel discussions, thematic blocks, a concert and the economic forum awards ceremony.
The event was organised by the Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies, the Economic Forum Programme Council and Partners of the Economic Forum.
Around 2500 people from Europe, Asia, the US and the Middle East have been invited to attend. Topics to be talked about include macroeconomics, business and management, international politics and international security among others.
The conference organizers stated that in a situation where conditions have changed, it requires the development of new rules and standards, new attitudes and ways of doing things, and new leadership who are open to innovation and the rapidly changing economic environment.
