The average monthly salary in the Polish enterprise sector amounted to PLN 3,900.49 in September 2014, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (GUS) on Thursday.
The figure was 3.4 percent higher than in September 2013 and 0.2 percent higher than in August 2014.
Employment in Polish enterprises remained unchanged month-on-month and stood at 5,537,300 in September. In year-on-year terms it inched up by 0.8 percent.
Economists surveyed by the Polish Press Agency had expected the average salary to grow by 3.5 percent y/y and by 0.3 percent m/m.
They also expected employment to grow by 0.8 percent y/y and remain unchanged in monthly terms.
