The Social Summit for Fair Jobs and Growth 2017 in Göteborg finished

Sweden and European Commission were hosts of the summit. Main topics of the discussion were future of the social policy in Europe, employment and access to the labour market. Also Brexit and meetings of British prime minister were important parts of  the summit. 

Prime Minister Stefan Löfven with the chairman of European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker were the co-hosts of the Social Summit for Fair Jobs and Growth. Leaders of states, goverments of UE members, leaders of UE institutions, social partners and representatives of citizen society have participated in the one-day meeting in Göteborg.

There were discussions about habituation of effective and balanced systems of social security, amendment of functioning of labour markets and exporting the social dialogue. UE leaders in Göteborg talked about Great Britain and staying their citizens at its territory, and future costs of Brexit and future of borders between Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. There was also a meeting of prime ministers of Belgium and Spain about situation in Catalonia, and about catalonian prime minister Carles Puidgemont and some of the ministers of dismissed leadership of the region, who are dwelled in Belgium.
